as far as ive seen the defensiveness is the opposite of authentic & they often mentally cripple themselves while doing it & often what they say is so absurd they just have to be asked to look at wtf theyre saying for them to realize there's something seriously wrong with them and stop it they might also be defensive or critical about things that make sense, in good faith, but the out of the gate mode is not good faith criticism. it may also serve a true defensive purpose and triggered when something is making them uncomfortable. which is separate from it being authentic engagement.

@tonichen they went down on bedrock a few days ago, even for people with legacy access. as far as i know right now, there will be no avenue to access opus 4 after anthropic retires them on june 15th.
